AI News Weekly: OpenAI 12 Days of Announcements, Google Genie 2, and More
This week has been one of the wildest in AI news this year, and I’ve been doing my best to keep up while traveling.

OpenAI 12 Days of Announcements
OpenAI has announced that they will be doing 12 days of announcements. So far, we know the first two things:
- Chat GPT Pro: A new $200 per month plan for chat GPT.
- OpenAI 01 Release: The full model of 01 as well as a new 01 Pro mode are now available.
For most people, the $20 per month plan with the new 01 model should be enough.
OpenAI Reinforcement Fine-tuning Research Program
This is an announcement for developers and machine learning engineers. It helps fine-tune models for specific niche tasks.

- Genie 2 model, a large-scale foundation world model that can create playable worlds that are all generated by AI.

AI Drama: Elon Musk and OpenAI
Elon Musk has filed an injunction to halt OpenAI’s transition to a for-profit company, claiming that they discouraged investors from backing OpenAI rivals and benefited from wrongly obtained information through OpenAI’s connection with Microsoft.
